    52 PICKUP - FEBRUARY

    1ST WEEK: TAX TIME
    • Daily Anticlutter Routine: Hang up coat/drop mail in one spot (1 minute).
    • Pickup Project: Gather up tax info and put in a tax folder (30 minutes).
      Label business envelopes for tax categories such as Wages and Capital Gains. Use them to keep tax papers sorted - your tax preparer will love you.
    • Quickie Cleanup in the Basement: Laundry area (15 minutes).
      Pull out tools, toys, and trash from this section of the basement. Clean off the top of the washer and dryer and quickly sweep the floor.
    2ND WEEK: STOCK OFFICE SUPPLIES
    • Daily Anticlutter Routine: Hang up coat/drop mail in one spot (1 minute).
    • Pickup Project: Organize office supplies (30-60 minutes).
      Set up a storage shelf. Pile up pens, pencils, and paper. Stack up the computer diskettes and ink cartridges so you can just grab what you need.
    • Quickie Cleanup in the Garage: Dump and Recycle (15 minutes).
      Swing through the garage and bag as much junk to dump and items to recycle as you can. Toss junk bags in the trash and bags to recycle in your car.
    3RD WEEK: LINE UP THE LINENS
    • Daily Anticlutter Routine: Hang up coat/drop mail in one spot (1 minute).
    • Pickup Project: Arrange sheets and towels (30 minutes).
      Pull out and toss ratty and mismatched old sheets, pillowcases, and washcloths. Stack up linens that made the cut by size and color in the linen closet.
    • Quickie Cleanup for the Car/Van: Interior (15 minutes).
      Pull out trash, papers, and clothes that don't belong in a car/van. Wipe the dashboard and steering wheel.
    4TH WEEK: DISCARD OLD MESSAGES
    • Daily Anticlutter Routine: Hang up coat/drop mail in one spot (1 minute).
    • Pickup Project: Delete old phone and computer messages
      (30-60 minutes).
      Start fresh each month by deleting old messages and the computer trash can.
    • Quickie Cleanup Outside: Tidy the front yard or apartment hall
      (15 minutes).
      Pick up and put away any toys, trash, tools,or bikes in your yard or hallway. Sweep the porch and sidewalk.
