52 PICKUP for APRIL
1ST WEEK: SPRING AND SUMMER CLOTHES
- Daily Anticlutter Routine: Wipe off the kitchen counter (1 minute).
- Pickup Project: Work and special occasion clothes (2-3 hours).
Try on clothes, jewelry, and shoes. Put out all items that don't make
you look great. Donate jewelry that doesn't match any of your outfits.
- Quickie Cleanup in the Bedroom: Round up the dust bunnies (15 minutes).
Dust around the ceiling, corners, ceiling fan, and window. Dust or
polish all furniture.
2ND WEEK: SPRING AND SUMMER CLOTHES
- Daily Anticlutter Routine: Wipe off the kitchen counter (1 minute).
- Pickup Project: Casual and exercise clothes (2-3 hours).
Have another fashion show with your more relaxed wardrobe and accessories.
There's no point in keeping shoes that pinch your toes or scrape your heels.
- Quickie Cleanup in the Basement: Sweep/wash the landing and stairs
(15 minutes).
Quickly dust the ceiling and corners, sweep, and then wash the basement
landing and stairs.
3RD WEEK: SPRING AND SUMMER CLOTHES
- Daily Anticlutter Routine: Wipe off the kitchen counter (1 minute).
- Pickup Project: Coats and jackets, hats and gloves (1 hour).
Toss items that are frayed or stained and can't be fixed. Haven't worn
something in a couple of years? Put it in your donation pile.
- Quickie Cleanup in the Garage: Organize gardening items (15 minutes).
Line up the sprays and pesticides, plant seeds, and grass seeds. Put
small trowels and hand tools together. Stack the rake, shovel, and hoe.
Keep your gardening gloves, hat, and knee pads together.
4TH WEEK: SPRING AND SUMMER CLOTHES
- Daily Anticlutter Routine: Wipe off the kitchen counter (1 minute).
- Pickup Project: Rearrange all the clothes closets (2-3 hours)
Use multiple hangers for shirts and blouses and for slacks. Line up work
clothes and then the casual clothes. Keep exercise and sports outfits together.
Make a shopping list of specific items you need to pep up your collection.
- Quickie Cleanup in Vehicles: Clean out the glove compartment (15 minutes)
Remove trash. Store tissues, a bag of coins, and a pad of paper and a pen.
Keep the tire gauge and window hammer in a plastic bag.
